I spent August 24th through December 17th 2009 in Kiev, Ukraine as a volunteer English teacher. This blog is my Plan B of memory-keeping, since my pen-and-paper journaling attempts always end illegibly. It would be a shame to forget the small things, so most of what I write here is for my own benefit down the line. For now, though, this blog serves to satisfy (perhaps) the curiosity of my family and friends. And to reassure my mother that I am still alive.
A special thanks to the many donors: Your support is far-reaching, believe me on that one.
Update: One month after I returned home to the United States, I had the privilege to receive an assignment as a missionary for the LDS church. I will be serving in the Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk mission for 18 months, speaking Russian. I am beyond stoked.
